Pat Martino Quartet at the Sellersville Theater

Pat Martino Quartet will play at the Sellersville Theater on February 2, 2007. One of the most original of the jazz-based guitarists to emerge in the '60s, Philadelphia's own Pat Martino has been recognized as one of the most exciting virtuosos in jazz. Pat is known for his distinctive, fat sound and gut-wrenching performances and fully embodies thoughtful energy & soul. Musicians flock to his door for lessons, and he offers not only the benefits of his musical knowledge, but also the philosophical insights of a man who has faced and overcome enormous obstacles. Pat Martino is therefore offering a clinic the afternoon prior to his concert!

Attend a 90 minute lecture with Q&A by this true jazz master. Pat has given master Classes throughout the world and is currently on the adjunct faculty at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. (Not a hands-on workshop. Do not bring instruments.)

“Pat's sessions truly connect with audiences on both the technical and emotional levels. He is an exceptional artist who is equally effective in articulating his viewpoints about the music, guitar technique, and where jazz should reside emotionally." --GREG CARROLL, Director of Education, IAJE
