| Indigo Moss Indigo Moss will perform on Saturday 29 December 2007 at The Clore Ballroom, 12:30 P.M. Music of unabashed honesty and love, with plenty of thigh-slapping grooves, from the band that 'mix traditional Brit-folk with early rock and then add a touch of bluegrass for seasoning' (NME). Discovered by Simon Tong and signed to the Butterfly label, Indigo Moss released their debut album earlier this year, supported The Good, The Bad And The Queen and played a headline tour of the UK in March and April which led to them being invited to play at The Overture for the reopening of Royal Festival Hall. Indigo Moss also give a free performance in The Ballroom at 4.30pm. 'This young quintet have successfully transplanted the sounds of the Appalachian mountains to the land of St George's Cross and Poundstretcher shops without turning the whole exercise into pastiche... a feeling for melody and harmony pulls the band beyond their obvious influences... vibrant and contemporary' (Mojo). write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Jazz News :: home page |
