2008 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival Dates Announced

Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment are proud to announce the dates for the seventh annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Confirmed to take place June 12 - 15, 2008, the four-day festival will once again be held on the same beautiful, 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles southeast of Nashville.

Consistently and successfully looking for ways to improve the festival each year, Bonnaroo's seventh promises to build on the triumphs of the previous six in every way. From its music programming to the non-music attractions, activities and art, the promoters are already hard at work adding new and exciting elements to create yet another legendary weekend. Last year's event caused Rolling Stone to call Bonnaroo, "hands down, America's greatest festival."

Since it's inception in 2002, the festival has evolved into an incomparable multi-faceted entertainment experience, swiftly earning its status as the country's premier music and arts event. "It's rewarding to see how the festival has matured in all aspects from production to music programming, " says Superfly's Rick Farman. "But what we are just as excited about as producers are the special attractions we have created such as the Cinema, Comedy Theatre, Somethin' Else Jazz Club, Planet Roo, and the new elements we are creating for this coming year. We believe that it's these ingredients that make being at an around-the-clock festival so unique and special."

Bonnaroo continues to make a strong impact on the American music industry. The festival has served as a launching pad for such popular artists as Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Robert Randolph, My Morning Jacket, Ray Lamontagne, Matisyahu, and many others. A creative and cultural mega-success, Bonnaroo has also featured a staggeringly diverse range of world-class acts such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Radiohead, The Police, Tom Petty, Tool, Wilco, The Dave Matthews Band, James Brown, The White Stripes, The Dead, Regina Spektor, Widespread Panic, Elvis Costello, Amadou and Mariam, Beck, The Black Crowes, Alison Krauss, Bright Eyes, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Earle, Jurassic 5, Modest Mouse, The Mars Volta, Common, Burning Spear, the Flaming Lips, among so many others.
