| Bill Holman Band "Hommage" CD Receives a Grammy Nomination The Bill Holman Band “Hommage” CD on Jazzed Media has received a Grammy nomination for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Recording in the 50th annual Grammy Awards. Bill Holman is recognized as one of the premier jazz writers and arrangers and The Bill Holman Band has been an active part of the big band jazz scene since the early 1970's. Bill Holman has previously received a total of 14 Grammy nominations in his long and distinguished music career. This is the second Bill Holman Band CD on Jazzed Media to receive a Grammy nomination. The Bill Holman Band “Live” CD produced by Graham Carter, owner of Jazzed Media, received a Grammy nomination in the 48th annual Grammy Awards. The Bill Holman Band “Hommage” album was produced by Graham Carter, owner of Jazzed Media, which is based in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. Jazzed Media produces both new and vintage unreleased jazz recordings for release, and also jazz documentaries. The 2005 Jazzed Media documentary video production Phil Woods “A Life in E Flat” has received a Telly Award- Winner, Videographer Award of Excellence, and a MarCom Creative Award-Gold. Currently Jazzed Media owner Graham Carter is producing and directing a documentary on jazz alto sax legend Bud Shank entitled “Against the Tide” and the film is scheduled for release in April, 2008. Also, Carter has announced the start of production on a new film honoring jazz big band leader Stan Kenton entitled “Artistry in Rhythm”.
