| Great Basin Jazz Camp Signs Gilbert Castellanos The Great Basin Jazz Camp has announced the signing of famed trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos as Co-Artist in Residence for the 2008 Camp, being held from July 14th through July 18th, 2008. The other Co-Artist is returning guitarist Bruce Forman. In addition, the 2008 Jazz Camp will relocate to the campus of Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, just east of Boise, Idaho. The University will also serve as Co-Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Great Basin Jazz Camp. Gilbert Castellanos is probably best known as a featured trumpeter with the renowned and highly acclaimed Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, which is currently on tour in Europe. The San Diego-based trumpeter will give private instruction to ALL trumpet students at Camp, as well as conduct trumpet sectionals as part of the Camp's Concert Big Band, which will give a performance following Camp on July 18, 2008 in the beautiful 16-hundred seat Swayne Auditorium on campus.
