| Pablo Ziegler Trio at the Kimmel Center Latin Grammy Award winning pianist Pablo Ziegler debuts with his Trio at the Kimmel Center performing new tango on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 7:30pm in Perelman Theater. Ziegler first began performing with renowned tango composer Astor Piazzolla in 1978 -a decade long musical collaboration that influenced Ziegler's musical aspirations to propel new tango to another level with jazz and classical elements. In 1990, he formed his own quartet for New Tango, and has traveled throughout the world, frequently collaborating with musical greats such as Paquito D'Rivera, Stefon Harris, David Sanchez, among others. Accompanied by guitarist Claudio Ragazzi and bandonen player Hctor del Curto, the Pablo Ziegler Trio will perform selections from his two recent releases: Buenos Aires Report (2007), recorded live at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam; and, Tango and All That Jazz (2007). write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Jazz News :: home page |
