David Belmont To Headline An Event At NY

David Belmont, the innovative New Age/Ambient composer/musician, performed at The Spa Experience at Grand Central Station's Vanderbilt Hall, Wednesday October 31 through Friday November 2. He will also perform at the event's 2007 Readers' Choice AwardsCeremony.

Belmont and his group, WindWater Ensemble have just released their new cd, Postmodern Panache. Songs from the album can be heard on the syndicated radio show, Echoes, plus many stations all across the country.

A track from the album, Mr. Miles, a tribute to Miles Davis, was recently recognized by the legendary jazz artist's oldest son, Gregory Davis who said, "the song definitely sounds like my father's post-Britches Brew phase. It sounds like something he would be into today if he were here, a fitting tribute."
For a New Age artist, Mr. Belmont's MySpace numbers are truly staggering. In a few short months his music featured on www.myspace.com/davidbelmontwindwaterensemble has been played over 350, 000 times with over 5, 000 new friends. Currently he is the No 1 Ambient artist and Top 2 in two other genres. Comments on the site refer to Postmodern Panache as "the album to unwind to."
The album will be sold on-site at Grand Central Station through Inmotion Entertainment.
David Belmont and Windwater Ensemble's prior CD Windwater Excursions spent 8 months on the New Age Voice Top 100 Airplay List, again thanks in part to Echoes and their vast radio audience.
Mr. Belmont and his group will be on tour in early 2008.
