| Stanko Festival in Poland Trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, is again curating a festival in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, at the end of November 2007. And once again the festival has a strong focus on jazz and improvised music from ECM. Artists appearing include the reeds/accordion duo of Gianluigi Trovesi and Gianni Coscia (whose ECM albums include "In cerca di cibo" and "Round About Weill"), who appear on the November 29, followed by a brand new Stanko constellation including Alexi Tuomarila on piano, saxophonist Maciej Obara, guitarist Jacob Bro, bassists Anders Jormin and Slawomir Kurkiewicz and drummer Joey Baron. On November 30 the Bobo Stenson Trio (with Anders Jormin and Jon Fält) appears, as does Roscoe Mitchell's quintet, featuring Corey Wilkes on trumpet, Harrison Bankhead on bass and cello, Larry Gray on bass, and Vincent Davies on drums.
