by conqueroo

The documentary film Dreams to Remember: The Legacy of Otis Redding received its world premiere on Monday, October 8 at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. In a question and answer period directly following the film, Redding's widow Zelma Redding was joined by Wayne Jackson (The Mar-Keys, played on Redding's key recordings), Stax historian Rob Bowman (co-producer of the film), the two directors of the movie (David Peck and Phil Galloway) and Mods & Rockers Festival proponent Martin Lewis.

The DVD of Dreams To Remember was released on September 18 during the 50th Anniversary of Stax Records. The Stax label was reactivated this year by Concord Music Group.

Also in the house was Redding's daughter, Karla Redding and Stax artist Mable John.
