| Sony Holland At the Empire Plush Room Vocalist Sony Holland will bring her quartet back to the Empire Plush Room,940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA for the last time this October 25th through the 28th. The venerable venue will be closing its doors for good at the end of 2007. It has hosted jazz and cabaret concerts since it first opened as a speakeasy in the 1920's. Ms. Holland's band will feature Benny Watson, piano: Charles McNeal, sax: Seward McCain, bass: and David Rokeach on drums. The lovely singer has attracted a loyal Bay Area following, initially attracted by her debut CD of original material, On A San Francisco High. Tours in Asia and appearances at Yoshi's, Pearl's, the SF Jazz Festival, the San Jose Jazz Festival and more have solidified her reputation as an engaging live performer. Ms. Holland is currently at work on the follow-up CD to her 2006 release, Out Of This World.
