CeU US Tour

On Monday, October 8, Starbucks will feature “Roda (Bombay Dub Orchestra's Grateful Dub Radio Mix)” by Six Degrees recording artist CeU (pronounced “cell with a light L”) as their “Song of the Day.” Currently this exclusive song is only available through this promotion. Each morning and while supplies last, Starbucks customers nationwide can discover that day's complimentary download as part of their daily coffee routine. Upon receiving their complimentary download card at Starbucks, customers will have until the end of the calendar year to redeem the song on the US iTunes Store.

This is not the first time Starbucks has chosen to feature CeU. In April 2007, she was selected as the first international artist featured in the Starbucks Hear Music Debut series. Since then, she has received a chorus of press plaudits, came off of two sold-out US tours, and scored unprecedented chart numbers for a Brazilian artist: #1 on Billboard's World Music charts, #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart, and #57 on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition, her beautiful album cover graced the high-profile Apple iPhone commercials and she had a stunning performance at the 2007 Pan American Games opening ceremony, which was recognized worldwide.

“We are thrilled that Starbucks has chosen CeU for their innovative 'Song of the Day' program,” said Bob Duskis, president and label co-founder of Six Degrees Records. “Starbucks is a great place to discover new music and this promotion will help bring her international sound to a new audience.”

Brazilian singer-songwriter CeU is returning to the US with a highly anticipated seventeen-date fall tour that will kick off in Chicago on October 15, 2007. Accompanied by her So Paulo-based band, CeU brings her “...indefinable, seductive and compellingly original set of songs that incorporate jazz, reggae, R&B, Brazilian and much more...(Miami Herald)” to the following cities and venues listed below.

The CeU Remixes digital only EP will be released on October 30, 2007. This new remix EP sees four favorite tracks from her debut, remixed by some of electronica's freshest and finest. The remixer roster includes the UK's Bombay Dub Orchestra, two of Brazil's most exciting up and coming producers, Lucas Martins and Instituto and US newcomers, ZAMAN 8 and Eidetaker.
