Haitian Band Tabou Combo to Perform at Olympia Theatre (Paris)

Haitian band Tabou Combo, arguably Haiti's #1 export, will perform an already sold-out show at The Olympia Theatre in Paris on Sunday, September 30. Tabou Combo's horn section includes trumpeters Ken Watters & Darren Barrett, saxophonist Jacques Schwarz-Bart & trombonist Andre Atkins.

Tabou Combo was formed almost 40 years ago in Petionville, Haiti (a suburb of Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince). The band graduated from a strong regionally popular group to a global force when, in the mid 1970s, they had several top ten hits across Europe & the Caribbean (including 1974's “New York City” which climbed to #1 on the French pop music charts).

The Olympia Theatre has a long & rich history, having hosted Edith Piaf, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Josephine Baker, The Beatles, Luciano Pavarotti, The Rolling Stones, The Jackson 5, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald & countless other musical legends of all genres.
