| 10th Annual Candid Jazz Festival Held at the PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Dean Street, Soho, London, the 10th Annual Candid Jazz Festival will run from Tuesday 30th October until Sunday 4th November 2007 and will present Candid's accomplished jazz artists and fantastic rising stars. This jam packed week will feature the unique vocal talents of jazz vocalists Mishka Adams, Sheila Cooper, Cormac Kenevey as well as performances by recently signed trumpet ace Shanti Paul Jayasinha and an exciting new band, The Blessing. Following on from the success of her debut album 'God Bless The Child' in which she enchanted the jazz critics with her vocal style, Mishka Adam's will be showcasing material from her second Candid album, 'Space,' released in the UK on 22nd October. This wonderful new collection features ten originals, arranged and co-produced with trumpeter John Hoare. Two exciting double bill nights on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd November presents the amazingly talented Sheila Cooper on vocals/alto saxophone with pianist Fritz Pauer and Irish singer Cormac Kenevey with the Phil Ware Trio, who dazzled his audiences last year with material from his debut, 'This Is Living' out on Candid. As part of the festival week, Sheila Cooper will be launching her Candid album 'Tales of Love and Longing,' released in the UK on 5th November. Renowned on the UK jazz scene as a featured artist with some of the hottest latin jazz ensembles around, Paul Jayasinha has now stepped out and put down his musical marker with his first outing on disc as leader. Paul's debut album 'Round Trip' will be available on Candid on 22nd October 2007, launched at Candid Festival on Thursday 1st November. The festivities will build to a grand finale on Sunday 4th November by the exciting and ground-breaking jazz group, The Blessing who were hailed “Band of the year” by Venue Magazine, Jazz/World round-up 2006.
