| Ice-T: Live In Montreux Known as the original gangster of rap, Ice T's uncompromising songs are seen by many as powerful social commentaries on life in the ghetto which have crossed over to many white audiences and pop charts around the world. Liberation Entertainment is proud to release this performance recorded at Switzerland's Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1995 on a special double DVD and audio CD (out Ocnober 29th), including blistering versions of nearly all the great tracks from one of the pioneers of rap, including I'm Your Pusher, 6 In The Morning and Original Gangster. Despite being one rap's most articulate and respected spokesmen, the highly-controversial recordings Ice T made with rap metal band Body Count in the nineties, in particular with the notorious 'cop killer', made ICE T unofficial public enemy number one with America's establishment and in particular the F.B.I. 'Live in Montreux' comes packed with almost two hours of footage, including bonus footage of Ice T in an open air concert reunited with Body Count in San Bernadino and an audio CD full of highlights from the Montreux concert. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Jazz News :: home page |
