The Brian Setzer Orchestra Soars This Fall

As three-time Grammy Award winner Brian Setzer gears up for the September 25th release of 'Wolfgang's Big Night Out, ' he now has one more reason to celebrate: ESPN's "Monday Night Football" has tapped the hitmaker to be the musical director and one of the main performers for the show's opening theme song this fall.

Setzer, along with Hank Williams Jr. and an all-star band including Gretchen Wilson, Richie Sambora, Bootsy Collins and Drake Bell, will sing "All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night" for 17 shows, debuting September 10th. This year's version will offer a "boogie-woogie" and big-band music flare thanks to Setzer's influence and 13 members of his Orchestra's horn section.

With the upcoming release of Setzer's 14th studio album 'Wolfgang's Big Night Out, ' the remarkable singer, songwriter, guitarist and bandleader is in top form. Recording with his 18-piece rockin' Big Band and enlisting the help of a legendary arranger and octogenarian Frank Comstock, Setzer has achieved his most profound work yet. Reaching back 300 years, Brian has taken on the daunting task of reinventing and revitalizing the world's greatest melodies of all time. We're talkin' Mozart.... Beethoven.... Tchaikovsky.... Mendelssohn...... all those legends. It's one thing to do straight versions of these timeless classics, staying true to the original arrangements, but that would be too easy. Setzer's challenge was taking these melodies that everybody on the planet is intimately familiar with, coming up with completely new parts and adding a smokin' hot guitar-- all done in signature Setzer style!

Known for almost single-handedly reviving the two forgotten genres of rockabilly and swing, Setzer has once again transformed a musical form for modern ears.
