Cherryholmes Nominated For IBMA Entertainers Of The Year

Grammy-nominated bluegrass family band Cherryholmes have once again been nominated for the International Bluegrass Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award. Winners of the award in 2005, the groups nomination comes on the heels of critical and commercial success for their latest Skaggs Family Records album 'Cherryholmes II Black and White, ' which debuted at the top of the Billboard bluegrass charts. Cia Cherryholmes also received an IBMA nomination for Banjo Player of the Year, her first ever nomination in that category.

Nominated for a Grammy for their self-titled Skaggs Family Records debut, the group reached even higher with 'Cherryholmes II Black and White.' The Boston Herald raves in their A- review "Cherryholmes looks ready to blast out of the bluegrass box, " while the Raleigh News & Observer's 4-star review says "Cherryholmes II Black and White' shows their passionate, boundary-breaking expression of the bluegrass idiom...a strong contender for album of the year."

For those looking to get ignited by the bands high energy live shows, Cherryholmes will be on tour through the rest of 2007.
