| Ten Years Of Appleseed Recordings When former consumer advocate lawyer Jim Musselman decided to form his independent record label 10 years ago, he vowed that his would be different - "this would be a label with a mission. One with a vision." And thus Appleseed Recordings was born, now home to a roster of musical legends and longtime Musselman favorites including Pete Seeger, Donovan, David Bromberg and others. To celebrate Appleseed's 10-year anniversary, the label is releasing three tremendous albums this fall: • 'Sowing the Seeds - The 10th Anniversary' (September 11), a 2-CD, 37-track album showcasing sociopolitically relevant songs from Appleseed's roster as well as music of optimism and perseverance. The CD sampler features nine exclusive tracks including the first recorded collaboration between American musical legends Pete Seeger and Bruce Springsteen. The album features 17 exclusive tracks including the second recorded collaboration to date between Pete Seeger and Bruce Springsteen as well as songs from Jon Bon Jovi, Bonnie Raitt and many others.
