| Phil Ramone Goes For Second Emmy Award Music icon Phil Ramone has earned an EMMY nomination for the PBS 'Great Performances' broadcast of the 2006 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute Honoring James Taylor. As music producer for the pre-GRAMMY benefit event, Ramone supervised performances of classic Taylor songs by an assembly of prestigious artists including the Jackson Browne, Dixie Chicks, David Crosby, Sheryl Crow, Jerry Douglas, India.Arie, Dr. John, Carole King, Alison Krauss, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, and Keith Urban. In addition to his 14 GRAMMY's, Ramone has already won an EMMY in this category of 'Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special' in 1973 for the Liza Minnelli special 'Liza With a "Z"'.
