| Claude Marc Bourget - Montreal Canadian pianist Claude Marc Bourget offers, on his web site, his latest improvisations, inspired by a Montreal theme (Festival necessity!) Jazz and Free improvisational pianist with some classic as well as modern and current inspiration, Bourget possesses a palette of the richest association with a beautiful virtuosity, supported by an extremely interesting philosophy of improvisation. His music, often very personal in the long sequences of rhythmic sounds and in the always surprising harmonies, cannot leave the music lover or the piano aficionado indifferent, if he holds in his heart the musical act in its purest form, although also being audacious. Several pieces by Claude Marc Bourget have featured on the american web site All About Jazz, such as Three Andantes for Bill Evans and Second Walk with Monk around Midnight, as well as his video Three Jazz Studies. Two interviews can also be found online (in French), one of these at jazzfrisson.blogspot.com, and another one at Citizen jazz with Bob Hatteau (Claude Marc Bourget in Proust's boudoir). Claude Marc Bourget is going in studio in September, at the extraordinary Salle Franoys-Bernier venue at Domaine Forget, in Quebec, to record a solo album produced by Ruby Flower Records in New York. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Jazz News :: home page |
