| Weller, Nutini and Legend Sign Gibson SG for GuitarTown London The Silver Clef Awards for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy took place with Paul Weller, Rod Stewart, Snow Patrol, The Feeling, and Bryan Ferry all receiving honours. Before the prestigious annual lunch, a Gibson SG guitar was personally signed by many of the attendees including Paul Weller, John Legend, Paolo Nutini and The Feeling to name a few. The hand-painted guitar titled "London Rocks" by visual artist Stephen Wiltshire is part of the Gibson GuitarTown London charity campaign and is currently on public exhibit at The O2 formally The Millennium Dome in Greenwich until 12th September. Following the display, the guitar will be auctioned off at an event in October, raising money for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, The Prince's Trust and Teenage Cancer Trust. The 32nd Silver Clef Lunch was held at London's Park Lane Hilton (29th June) - in aid of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity - with the highest accolade awarded to the legendary Paul Weller. The awards ceremony - presented by TV presenter Kate Thornton - also saw a newlywed Rod Stewart receive the Icon Award from Gordon Ramsay, whilst Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry was given the Hard Rock's Ambassadors of Rock Award. Snow Patrol scooped the Best British Group gong, The Feeling won Record of The Year Award with "Love It When You Call", and Paolo Nutini took the Best Newcomer accolade, as presented by Paul Weller. The awards were followed by an auction, raising money for the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Charity, which saw items such as Madonna's jacket designed by Matthew Williamson and a customized Led Zeppelin guitar, signed by the three surviving members, go to the highest bidder.
