| Calgary International Blues Festival Calgary International Blues FestivalJazz Elements The Calgary International Blues Festival runs this August 23-26 at Pumphouse Park. Featuring a world-class roster of regional and international blues, this year's event promises to the biggest and best yet with 35 bands appearing over four days. Appearing on mainstage are international headliners including keyboard/saxophone giant Edgar Winter, legendary guitarist Rick Derringer, California singer Sista Monica, and guitarist Duke Robillard of Roomful of Blues fame, among the many. Canadian blues greats include guitarist Jack De Keyzer, B3 wizard Doug Riley, East Coast bluesman Garrett Mason and his band, Vancouver guitarist David Gogo and a host of other top-drawer acts. Known for its signature late night events in the beer garden, this year the Twilight Blues Dance Parties will run nightly during the festival on site with dancing to live blues until the wee hours.
