Michael Wolff to Perform with Nancy Wilson at Carnegie Hall

Acclaimed jazz pianist Michael Wolff has been invited to perform with the legendary Nancy Wilson at her 'Swingin' 70th Birthday Party' at Carnegie Hall on June 29th. Wolff's Carnegie Hall appearance reunites him with Wilson, for whom he was Musical Director and Arranger for many years.

The must-see event (part of the JVC Jazz Festival New York,) will be an All-Star Tribute Concert featuring Wilson & her Trio, with Special Guests. Presented by George Wein and Festival Productions, Inc., in partnership with Carnegie Hall, concert ticket information may be found via the Carnegie Hall Box Office:

Days later, on July 3rd, Wrong Records will release Michael Wolff's Trio CD, 'jazz, JAZZ, jazz', a nine-song collection of standards, including “My Funny Valentine,” “Cry Me A River',” “Autumn Leaves” and more. This soulful, instrumental album (which also features long-time band-mates John B. Williams on Bass and Victor Jones on Drums,) is everything fans have come to embrace in Wolff's virtuoso jazz piano playing. Recently described by JazzTimes Magazine as “one of the most innovative and dynamic pianists of his generation,” Wolff's rich history of collaboration was cultivated via work with such venerable artists as Cannonball Adderley, Cal Tjader, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, Tony Williams, Christian McBride and many others - including, of course, the great Nancy Wilson.
