Mexico's Nerv To Play in Toronto

Hailing from Nuevo León, Mexico, Nerv uses musical instruments to create landscapes and atmospheres, textures and layers. With the recent release of their 7 song EP, Senor con Sanitario, Nerv are dedicated to displaying a style all their own. The band is set to play the North by North East music festival in Toronto on Saturday June 9 th at C'est What at midnight.

Nerv plays sad, melancholic music that more often than not, turns into a chaotic swirl of angst-driven metallic pathos. The band was started in 1999 by lead singer and guitarist Pedro Diaz. Accompanied by Iziur on bass, Handal on drums, and Red on guitar and keyboard, Pedro is taking the band in the direction he's always dreamed of.

Nerv is recording and mixing its second EP, The Borderline, with international Mexican artist Alejandro Rosso (Plastilina Mosh) at his Kim Jong Sound studios. They have recently released their new single "How They Made Their Millions", which will be featured on the upcoming EP. The band will be traveling upward making a stop in New York to play the Annex, and then continuing on to display their talents in Toronto at NXNE 2007.
