| Urb Alt Festival 2007 Vernon Reid, the Exit, Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio, Res, Kaki King, MuthaWit Orchestra and others celebrate the musical legacies of Alice Coltrane, AR Kane, Frank Sinatra and Barry White in Harlem, NY alternative music/film festival. The URB ALT Festival 2007 is 4 powerful nights of music/film events in Harlem, NY held on June 9th, Marcus Garvey Park; June 23rd, Faison Firehouse Theater; July 7th, The Shrine; and July 21st, Apple Store(downtown). Each exciting evening features performances by international musicians/visualists such as Vernon Reid, AR Kane, the Exit, Res, Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio, Kaki King, Blake Fleming of Mars Volta, Otto Fischer, Faith, Lyndon Barrois, Tenderhead and MuthaWit Orchestra among others. This year all artists will be playing their original works while also paying homage to legendary artists such as Alice Coltrane, AR Kane, Frank Sinatra and Barry White. Festival founder, Boston Fielder, says “URB ALT has always been about discovering the eclectic stars of tomorrow so it's only fitting that we should pay homage to influential artists of yesterday. The legendary AR Kane will be performing publicly for the first time in 12 years and we're very proud that our 24 piece orchestra will be accompanying them.” The URB ALT Festival will also feature the world premiere of the feature film “Kat, Shaun & Oz.” All of the URB ALT Festival events will also be broadcast live on the internet and archived for continuous replay by the global community.
