Anat Cohen To Make Her West Coast Debut At Yoshi's

After playing to sell-out audiences at NYC's Jazz Standard And DC's Kennedy Center, Anat Cohen to make her West Coast debut at Yoshi's in San Francisco, June 6 & 7.

After the release of her two exceptional yet contrasting new albums, 'Poetica' and 'Noir' (both on Anzic Records), and sold out performances earlier this month at the Jazz Standard in NYC, and Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, journalists are hailing jazz siren Anat Cohen as one of genre's the most innovative young leaders. Next month, the world-traveling clarinetist/saxophonist will play her first-ever headlining west coast shows at Yoshi's in San Francisco, June 6 and 7.

Idiomatically conversant with modern and traditional jazz, classical music, Brazilian choro, Argentine tango, and an expansive timeline of Afro-Cuban styles, Cohen has established herself as one of the primary voices of her generation on both the tenor saxophone and clarinet since arriving in New York in 1999.
