| Alexander-Ephron-Holmes-Vilnai Quartet Debut A new quartet featuring a collaboration by drummer Aaron Alexander (Midrash Mish Mosh, Hassidic New Wave), bassist Fima Ephron (Screaming Headless Torsos, Midrash Mish Mosh), trumpet player Ben Holmes (Slavic Soul Party, Romashka) and guitarist Jay Vilnai will make its debut performance on Wednesday, May 30th at the Tea Lounge, 837 Union St., Park Slope, Brooklyn. The quartet brings together four musicians active in New York's Balkan, Klezmer and jazz scenes, that have worked and led a variety of ensembles such as Slavic Soul Party, Paradox Trio, Midrash Mish Mosh, Hassidic New Wave, Vampire Suit, Romashka and more.
