U.S.-Japan Innovators Project Symposium

U.S.-Japan Innovators Project Symposium: Improvisation, Creativity, Collaboration: Fueling Innovation in the 21st Century will take place Thursday, May 24 at Japan Society, New York, NY. The first public symposium of the U.S.-Japan Innovators Project, this event explores what jazz and “right brain” qualities like empathy and playfulness teach about improvisation, collaboration and innovation.

Multidisciplinary leaders from business and the arts, as well as social entrepreneurs who participated in a series of retreats in 2006 and 2007, present a provocative conversation on the themes of partnership, joy and creative problem-solving in the 21st century. Participants include GRAMMY Award-winning producer Marty Ashby; bestselling author Daniel H. Pink (A Whole New Mind, Free Agent Nation); author and President of Thinktank SophiaBank Hiroshi Tasaka; founding editor of Fast Company magazine Alan Webber; and Keith Yamashita, Chairman of the change and innovation firm Stone Yamashita Partners. Satoshi Takeishi on drums & Noriko Ueda on bass.
