| Roots Reggae In German Panjah Music, a new Berlin based music label founded by Reggae singer/musician Ras Perez, and singer/songwriter Jahnin, is proud to announce the release of 'Dr.Design', her debut album. It can be described as 'an intimate dash of cool and hot music, spread out beneath a mosiac of German text, peppered with groovy, rootsy surges'. In a nutshell, this ground-breaking album signals a fresh outlook into artistic expression and consciousness forging its way into today's music . In Germany, this release may well prove to be one of the most innovative and dynamic albums of this genre for the year 2007. Fusing roots reggae with conscious lyrics (sung in german) global understanding and above all…love. Produced by Ras Perez, who assembled a pragmatic and far reaching audio soundscape that can easily serve as the score for a Euro-Caribbean action film. Doubling as a tour de force of witty lyrics, and original sonic stylings, 'Dr.Design' will appeal to both the street person and intellectual. Since her appearances with Ras Perez and the Reggae Ambassadubs as vocalist and consequently riddim-guitarist, there has been a steady and increasing buzz building around her music, eventually gaining evergrowing attention. Now working in studio on a follow up album, Jahnin has also shared the stage with artists such as Ras Donovan, Tikiman, and others. Other releases from PANJAH MUSIC include four albums from Ras Perez. "Over the Hills" which was first released in 1996, together with "Zion Vibes", "Jah Son" and "WhodohknoW". All tracks are produced by Ras, with additional help from Jahnin. Other Caribbean styles such as zouk and cadence-lypso are also featured on these albums. "JAH SON" in particular represents a special side of Ras Perez' musical expression. His latest album is "WhodohknoW", which has been around since 2006.
