| Quebec Jazz Comes to Jazz at Lincoln Center As part of its Quebec Jazz series, Montreal's Effendi record label will present some of its acclaimed artists and their best musical creations each Monday night this May at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Some of the participating artists will include the octet Jazzlab, as well as composer/pianist Yves Lveill, composer/saxophonist Christine Jensen, double bassist Michel Donato, and composer/pianist Franois Bourassa along with their respective ensembles. Organized in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, one of the most prestigious concert venues in North America, this is a veritable artistic summit. These established Quebec musicians and their respective groups will share the stage with internationally-acclaimed American jazz performers. They will each present two shows at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola on Monday nights throughout May 2007. The primary goal of this initiative is to showcase the high quality of Quebec jazz, especially to the movers and shakers of the American jazz world. This large-scale project will allow the very best of Quebec's world-class jazz artists to benefit from serious international-level exposure and development.
