Little Steven's Wicked Records Signs Distribution Deal With RED

Wicked Cool Records, the label created and headed by Little Steven Van Zandt, has signed a national distribution deal with RED Distribution to bring the coolest rock and roll records to retailers across the country.

RED president Bob Morelli said, "Little Steven is a larger than life rock star now TV star who has put together a label with the same passion he puts into everything he does. He has assembled an equally impressive team to work with RED and we are thrilled to be a part of it!"

"We were overwhelmed with enthusiasm from the entire company as we presented our record releases for the year", says Van Zandt. "RED is the perfect combination of individuals who think like a renegade indie and act with the confidence and dedication of revolutionaries fighting to the death at Rock and Roll's last stand."

The Charms 'Strange Magic' and The Woggles 'Rock and Roll Backlash', two staples on the nationally syndicated radio show Little Steven's Underground Garage and the SIRIUS channel Underground Garage/ 25, are in stores now. Creative Loafing (GA) said of The Woggles, "such contagious energy, enthusiasm, and obvious love of what they do, it's impossible not to get caught up in the swinging vibe." The Boston Phoenix (MA) says, "we still wish there were more rock and roll bands like the Charms who could write girl-group harmonies like it was still 1969."

The next Wicked Cool albums to be supported by RED's national sales distribution and marketing are: May 15th - 'CBGB Forever' by Various Artists. Features extremely rare tracks from Green Day, U2, and the Foo Fighters as well as contemporary classics from Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, and Good Charlotte. Little Steven's Underground Garage presents The Coolest Songs in the World Vol. 1' by Various Artists: A compilation of the best of the best from the Underground Garage radio show's most popular feature, the Coolest Song in the World This Week.

May 29th - 'Rent A Crowd' by Len Price 3. Rolling Stone gave their first release five stars saying, "These are the facts; bare-bones guitar, bass and drums; classic British-freak-beat song hooks and vocal harmonies; fifteen songs that roll over you like a mono copy of The Who Sing My Generation, in just half an hour." Future releases include the Stabilizers, Boss Martians, Cocktail Slippers, Novaks, Hawaii Mud Bombers, Ko the Knockouts, the Maggots, and Richard and the Young Lions.
