Cuban Babe - "La Perla Negra"

Reggaeton Records presents the debut album of Cuban Babe "La Perla Negra". Cuban Babe whose name is Ivet Fortun and better known as La Perla Negra (The Black Pearl) was born in La Habana Cuba and left the island during the exile of 1994. She debuts with La Perla Negra. This album includes a Hip Hop, Salsa, and Reggaeton infused for the most part with Cuban rythms.

The overtone of the album is characterized by a fun feminist flaire. Songs like "Las Pepillas" "Papaya", and "Stupid boy" empower women and makes a commentary on how Reggaeton portrays woman in many of their videos and songs.

Cuban Babe shot two videos within a week for the songs "Stupid boy" and "Las Pepillas". Both of these are available at Youtube.com. A CD Release party will take place in Los Angeles in early April.
