Joe Lovano and the Bad Plus Live in Pittsburgh

In this exceptional double bill, two contemporary groups, Joe Lovano Quartet and The Bad Plus, make their first appearance together at MCG, Pittsburgh PA March 16-17. Tenor saxophonist and Downbeat “Jazz Album of the Year” award winner Joe Lovano (see photo) is a well-established, Grammy Award winning artist in the jazz community. Lovano is an internationally recognized arranger, composer, and sax man. The Bad Plus redefines contemporary jazz by combining traditional piano jazz trio with modern favorites, sure to please all adventurous jazz listeners.

The group has racked up some 250 performances on four continents, becoming one of the most telepathically tight and musically adventurous bands on the planet. The Bad Plus has drawn audiences from all realms and sold out festivals coast to coast.
