Tri-C JazzFest CD Release Party Scheduled for St. Patrick's Day

Cuyahoga Community College's JazzFest will host a CD release party for the Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland 2007 Collection on Saturday, March 17 in the English Oak Room at Tower City Center. The evening of jazz begins with the showing of "Brotherly Jazz: The Heath Brothers", part of the 31st Cleveland International Film Festival in the Tower City Cinemas.

The documentary paints a vivid portrait of Philadelphia's Heath Brothers -- bassist Percy,saxophonist/composer/arranger Jimmy, and drummer Albert "Tootie" -- through words and music, most notably a 2004 California concert that marked one of the last times the brothers performed together. In a series of revealing interviews, the brothers tell their stories.

After the film, head to the English Oak Room on the main level of Tower City Center for a free CD release party featuring live music, free desserts and a cash bar. This year's JazzFest compilation CD comprises a variety of jazz styles and selections from artists featured at this year's JazzFest including Tony Bennett, Dianne Reeves, Chris Botti, George Duke, Joe Lovano, and many others. Following the CD release party, the JazzFest 2007 CD will be available at all area Borders stores, Tri-C book centers and
