| Piramuz at the Dering Arms in Pluckley, Kent Will Minting (Keyboards, Vocals), Alistair Redler (Bass), Alex Schatunowski (Guitar) & John Roberts (Drums) will be performing at The Dering Arms, Pluckley, Kent on Saturday 10 March 2007. Reputedly England's most haunted village, Piramuz return to Pluckley to exorcise demons from their previous performances. Nobody who attended Piramuz debut gig will forget the Spinal Tap-esque stage show, when a music stand mysteriously wobbled, causing music scores to disperse like confetti. Alex Schatunowski said “The beer is always good at The Dering Arms.” Piramuz will perform freeform covers of tracks from their debut and Unplugged CD's, including party favourites by Kaiser Chiefs, Billy Idol, Van Morrison, Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Guns 'n Roses, REM, The Police & The Beatles. Al Thompson (Harmonica, Vocals) will join the band with his personal brand of extemporisation in the second set. Will Minting said “It's always really interesting performing with Piramuz ... just like any cool jazz, you never know what's going to happen. There'll be a bunch of random chords, for sure!” write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Jazz News :: home page |
