| Terence Blanchard in Camden  Terence Blanchard, renowned trumpeter, composer and bandleader, will perform at the First Annual Gordon Theater Jazz Festival on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Gordon Theater, Camden, New Jersey. Terence Blanchard has blazed a unique trail through America's Music ever since attending Rutgers University on a music scholarship and taking Wynton Marsalis' seat in Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. An award-winning composer for films including Spike Lee's “Mo' Better Blues” and “Malcolm X. Blanchard's latest projects includes the soundtrack to Lee's “When the Levees Broke: aA Requiem in Four Acts,” a new film documenting the aftermath of Katrina on the City of New Orleans.Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts is South New Jersey's premier performing arts, visual arts and arts education institution and has been designated a “Major Arts Organization of New Jersey” by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State. Located on the Camden waterfront, the RCCA's three main venues - the Walter K.
