Victor Valente: ’New Life’

Greatmoon Records and Victor Valente Publishing proudly announce the release of Alto Saxophone extraordinaire Victor Valente's Sophmore studio CD entitled "New Life", which will be released on April 27th. The title track (inspired by Victor's experience of leaving his long time residence in the Bronx to come back to New Bedford, Ma. his place of birth and starting a family) was co-written with Jazz Guitarist Peter Arteaga. "New Life" is the follow-up studio set to Victor Valente's debut "Off The Canvas" which won the hearts of fans from many diffrent genres like hip hop, funk, traditional and Contemporary Jazz, Selling close too 5, 000 units as an Independent artist. Instrumentalist Victor Valente is also well-known in the early 80"s as a dj spinning records as a member of Afrika Bambatta's Zulu Nation along with engineering and producing many well known underground artists including Hip Hop/Reggae artist ShineHead during the early 90's.

The new album includes 8 original Victor Valente compositions Including "Nyjuan Lee", a song he composed for his son which Victor plays unaccompanied. With the sound of his low tone alto saxophone, Victor's influences such as Sonny Rollins, Lester Young and Dizzy Gillespie speak loudly bringing a raidient soulful touch to Victor's blend of 60's Soul and Modern Traditional Jazz style.
