| Chuck Mitchell will head up Koch Jazz/Adult Division Bob Frank, President of KOCH Records, announced today the formation of the KOCH Records Jazz/Adult Division. Chuck Mitchell, former President of Verve Records, will head up the division as Vice President of Jazz and Adult Music. Mitchell will spearhead A&R and Marketing efforts for the artists in these genres. The KOCH Records Jazz/Adult roster currently has artists Earl Klugh, Bob James, Jean-Luc Ponty, Michael Franks, Marcus Miller and Oleta Adams, among others. Previously, Mitchell worked at Verve Records for six years, and headed the company worldwide as President from 1996-1999. Under his leadership, the label received an unprecedented 18 Grammy Award nominations in 1998. Mitchell was also responsible for extending Verve's brand beyond its core jazz heritage to build a reputation in adult pop, dance music and rhythm & blues. Most recently, Mitchell has worked as a consultant for a variety of record labels, and has supervised video/film production for many musical artists, including multi-platinum vocalists Joss Stone and Norah Jones.
