| Kevin Bales in Daytona Beach The North East Florida Jazz Association announced that the Kevin Bales Quartet will perform at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach on Sunday, March 18 as part of the Association's 2006 - 2007 concert series. Bales, a noted jazz pianist and recording artist, is a previous winner of the American Pianist Association's Jazz Piano Competition and has performed at prominent jazz clubs and festivals across the United States and around the world, including the JVC Jazz Festival in New York, the Toronto Jazz Festival and the Hampton Jazz Festival in England as well as at the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles and Yoshi's in San Francisco. In addition to leading his own groups, Bales has also toured and performed with jazz greats Wynton Marsalis, Louie Bellson, Blue Note recording artist Marcus Printup, Grammy winner Eddie Daniels, sax legends Bunky Green and James Moody, Ben Tucker, Nathan Page, Ira Sullivan, The Lincoln Center All-Stars and many others. Appearing with Bales will be Leon Anderson on drums, Rodney Jordan on bass and Barry Green on guitar.
