| Tam Lin Musicat The Annex Tam Lin Music, the New York City experimental folk-rock collective based around the songs of Paul Weinfield, will be playing at The Annex on Sunday, March 4th, 2007. The lineup will be: Paul Weinfield (vox, guitars), Matt Kilmer (percussion), Mike Shobe (trumpet), and a string player TBA. Tam Lin Music's first CD, "Floating World" was released in March 2006, and featured Paul's eclectic arrangements (he also played all the instruments on the record) combined with a more ambient kind of production. The result was a dark, delicate sound that led Freshout Media, a Philadelphia-based promotion group, to write, "Tam Lin makes music that steps out of a dream." Jezebel Music, a Brooklyn-based promoter of new, independent music, wrote, "The intricacies and uniqueness of [Paul's] compositions stand alone as a rare, successful, genuine-sounding blend of both new and old sounds." Tam Lin Music is currently working on its first full-length CD. The album differs from "Floating World" in its use of collaborations with other musicians and producers. It is set to be released in the spring of 2007.
