Guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor, musical director, composer, arranger, producer, engineer, he's been there, done it. Throughout his various incarnations as a member of Boys of the Lough, Five Hand Reel and Clan Alba, in occasional duos with Aly Bain, Andy Irvine, Johnny Cunningham, Brian McNeill and Allan Taylor, and as one of the hardest-working solo performers in any area of music, Dick Gaughan's work has consistently been innovative and challenging.
