Dave Koz's new album

World renowned saxophonist Dave Koz has turned to one of his favorite pastimes, the movies, for inspiration for his new album due January 30th. The result is At The Movies, a lush, romantic collection of timeless songs from some of the most beloved movies of all time. Guest artists include Barry Manilow, Vanessa Williams, Anita Baker, India.Arie, and more! And the record is produced by Phil Ramone, who has produced other such legendary projects as Ray Charles' Genius Loves Company and Billy Joel's The Stranger.

When Koz asked Barry Manilow to sing 'Moon River' on At The Movies, Manilow was happy to oblige. ''Who doesn't know Henry Mancini's ˇMoon River?'' asks Manilow. 'I was delightfully surprised that Dave had figured out a very hip way of rendering ˇMoon River.' Now Manilow has asked Koz to appear as a special guest artist at his three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden (January 16, 17 and 18) – and the two will give their collaboration its first live performance. Koz will return to Manhattan for a special Valentine's Day show at the Beacon on February 14th with a surprise special guest who is also featured on the album.
