| Indigo Trio: Live in Montreal Greenleaf Music announced the release of the 3rd Volume of its Paperback Series: Mitchell/Bankhead/Drake, IIndigo Trio: Live in Montreal. The trio of Nicole Mitchell (Flute), Harrison Bankhead (acoustic bass and cello), and Hamid Drake (drums, percussion), have consistently rewarded audiences around the world with some of the most original music being made today, and this concert is no exception. Recorded live in Canada at the 2005 Suoni per IL Popolo Festival in Montreal, this set defines the sound of Chicago's AACM in the current era: telepathic improvisation, dramatically open compositions, deep-rooted modern jazz at its very best.
