Yvonne Curry at Third Street Music School Settlement

The dynamic tap dancer/choreographer Yvonne Curry rings in the New Year with "The Best of Ten Years at Third Street Music School Settlement, " a joyous memoir in words, dance and jazz, swing and R&B music. The event is part of Third Street's Faculty Artist Series and will take place Friday, January 5, 2007 at Anna-Maria Kellen Auditorium at Third Street Music School Settlement in NYC.

Ten years ago an ad in "Backstage" magazine introduced Ms. Curry to Third Street. Countless inspired young tap students and several filled-to-capacity revue performances later, this promises to be another unforgettable evening with the inimitable "Miss Yvonne." Ms. Curry was the tap instructor/ choreographer for Ballet of Venevision (Channel 4) in Caracas, Venezuela and jazz instructor/ choreographer for Leona Laviscount School of Dance and Antenna 3 television in Milan, Italy. She is a Board member and former Co-President of the New York Coalition of Professional Women in Arts and Media and a member of the American Dance Guild, the International Tap Association and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
