The results of "Top Jazz 2006" you can see in two parts - Italian jazz and International jazz. Italian jazz: Record of the year: 1. Piano Solo, Stefano Bollani (ECM); 2. Live Conversations, Dado Moroni & Enrico Pieranunzi (Abeat); 3. Stolen Days, Francesco Bearzatti Sax Pistols (Auand). Musician of the year: 1. Stefano Bollani, piano; 2, Gianluca Petrella, trombone; 3. Franco D'Andrea, piano. Band of the year: 1. Orchestra Egea; 2. Lydian Sound Orchestra; 3. Franco D'Andrea Quartet. Best new talent: 1. Giancarlo Tossani, piano; 2. Cristina Zavalloni, vocalist; 3. Zeno De Rossi, drums. International jazz: Record of the year (new): 1. Sound Grammar, Ornette Coleman Quartet (Sound Grammar); 2. Time Lines, Andrew Hill (Blue Note); 3. It's Mostly Residual, Cuong Vu (Auand). Record of the year (reissue): 1.
