Dianne Reeves will perform with WASO

Dianne Reeves is the pre-eminent jazz vocalist in the world today and will join the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) under the stars at Lake Karrinyup Country Club on the 20th and 21st January 2007 for the Emirates WASO at Lake Karrinyup concert. Reeves has performed with the likes of Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony and Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic. The four-time Grammy Award-winning artist's virtuosity, improvisational prowess and unique jazz and R & B stylings have seen her compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'Day and Billie Holiday. Dianne Reeves is a consummate performer and storyteller.

She appeared and performed in George Clooney's Academy Award nominated film Good Night and Good Luck. The soundtrack to which provided Reeves with her fourth Best Jazz Vocal Grammy in 2006. Dianne Reeves will join the WASO in two exclusive Australian concerts for the stand-out event of Perth's summer calendar. Now in its fifth year, the Emirates WASO event is well established and continues to bring world-renowned artists to Perth.
