| The Goo Goo Dolls: Successes And Tours With THE Goo Goo Dolls' latest single, "Let Love In", cracking the Top 10 on this week's Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary chart, the Buffalo natives have set the record for the artist with the most Top 10 hits in Hot AC history with twelve, beating out their nearest competitors, Matchbox Twenty and Sheryl Crow, who have ten apiece. The Goo Goo Dolls began their chart-topping run in 1995 with Number One hit "Name", followed by 1998's Number Ones "Iris" and "Slide", 1999's "Black Balloon", 2000's "Broadway", 2002's "Here is Gone" and "Big Machine", 2003's "Sympathy", 2005's "Better Days", and this year's "Stay With You" and singer/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik's "I'm Still Here" from the film "Treasure Planet." Each single has scored across multiple radio formats. The Goos' twelfth Top 10 single, "Let Love In", is the title track to their current gold-certified album, which was released by Warner Bros. Records on April 25th. The trio -- Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin -- are currently on the road for their Fall/Winter tour, which finishes up at the Anaheim, CA, House of Blues on New Year's Eve. The "Let Love In" tour resumes in February 2007. In addition, the band will perform their new single "Let Love In" on "CBS/The Early Show" on December 9th, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on December 14th, "Last Call with Carson Daly" on December 22nd and "The Megan Mullally Show" on January 8th. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
