JJ's Blues and a Slice of New York's Grand Opening Celebration

JJ's Blues and A Slice of New York come together to kick-off a weekend of music and fun. JJ's Blues is celebrating their 24th Anniversary all weekend, while also honoring Paulette Michel-Jacobson, prior manager for JJ's Blues and Blues Festival. Music will begin at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday and will continue throughout the evening. A Slice of New York will host World Pizza Champion Acrobats Tony Gemignani and Justin Wadstein in an event where kids will get to see the masters at work and get hands on practice. Drawings and giveaways will be done throughout the weekend.

The weekend kicks off early on Friday evening with Nora Cruz and Lydia Pense & Cold Blood. On Saturday, December 9, JJ's Blues will host many bands during the day, including: Dennis Dove, Gary Smith, Jake Mackey & Muddy Suns, Joint Chiefs, Kit Chris Anderson, Maxx Cabello Jr., Shane Dwight, and for the evening sets, Amy Lou's Blues and Ron Thompson. The weekend continues on Sunday, December 10, with more music, starting at 2pm with even more artists including: Alvin Draper, Andy Just, Chris Cain, Danny Hull, J.C. Smith, Lara Price Band, Noel Catura, Rene Solis, Richard Palmer, Sammy Valera, Tommy Castro, and for the evening sets, L.D. & Blues Redemption and Alvin Draper's Band. Many more bands are expected to play during the day and the Blues are guaranteed!

On Saturday, December 9, A Slice of New York will host a kids event with members of the famous World Pizza Champions. Tony Gemignani and Justin Wadstein will demonstrate their acrobat skills. Kids are encouraged to participate. Drawings and giveaways will be done throughout the weekend. New York pizza, calzones, strombolis, and Nathan's Famous hot dogs are standard items on the menu.
