| Joe Diorio's ’Bonita’ Originally released in 1980 on Zdenek Records and now available on CD for the first time ever on Art of Life Records Includes the original album cover artwork and liner notes exactly as they appeared on the original LP release in addition to new liner notes written by the album's original producer, Dale Zdenek. Joe is joined by acoustic bassist Bob Magnusson and drummer Jim Plank on all tracks with pianist Carl Schroeder joining the trio on "Bonita", "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most" and "Hello Young Lovers". The CD also features one previously unreleased bonus track, Joe's solo guitar arrangement of "Send in the Clowns". All tracks have been digitally remastered from the original analog master tapes using 24-bit digital technology. Bonita is Joe's personal favorite of all of his recordings as a leader and Art of Life Records is proud to make this long out-of-print recording available to the world once again. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
