| Eric Jarvis Collaborates with Matt Johnson Houston producer Eric Jarvis recently collaborated with renowned drummer Matt Johnson on his most recent productions at the legendary SugarHill Recording Studios. A Houston native and life-long musician Eric Jarvis is recognized in the local music scene as an accomplished producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist session player. Jarvis has had an impressive musical history and most recently founded a production company, crushpad productions, LLC, with partner Bobby Earthman. Jarvis has worked with Sundance Head ( son of R&B legend Roy Head ), Mando Saenz, Lise Liddell, Los Super Seven Heard It On the X, Charlie Sexton, Bob Schneider CD The Californian, NYC jazz singer Nina Belanger CD project ( recorded and produced by Dave McNair and Billy Harvey ), Laidlaw The Foam Box Sessions and Guatemalan Christian rock artist Gabriela. Jarvis recruited longtime friend Matt Johnson to track drums at SugarHill's Studio A with Senior Staff Engineer Steve Christensen on his newest projects including Anne Loo, ( co-produced with SugarHill President, Dan Workman ), and Darrin Love. Johnson is best known as the beat behind legendary artist Jeff Buckley appearing on his landmark album Grace as well as subsequent live releases and mini albums. He has also played with Duncan Sheik, Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright and has toured with John Mayer and Beth Orton.
