Kevin Convey, of the Boston Herald, writes "Just when you thought nobody made the kind of jazz album that depends more on class, beauty, chops and communication than on concepts and star value, along comes bassist Buster Williams' Griot Liberte. It's enough to restore your faith in the art form." This year, Mr. Williams released The Zodiac Suite as part of the Mary Lou Williams Collective. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Jazz News :: home page |
